Just Ported March 2015 by Legendary Mopar head porter Jim LaRoy ; LaRoy Racing Engines

Intake / Exhaust tested @ 28"

.100..............76/60
.200............156/136
.300............222/188
.400............275/225
.500............310/256
.600............338/280
.700............344/297
90CC Heads

239CC intake runners These heads will deliver insane amounts of torque down low; with over 80% exhaust flow to intake flow.

40CC spacers for use with RB (Raised Block) Will fit 400 Blocks and 440 Raised Blocks (Use Spacers for RB)

Standard 440 port head width, height has been increased .150 taller than stock 440 gasket. They are 1.210 Wide and 2.450 Tall. The port velocity is very good with flow numbers from a 239CC STANDARD PORT. Don't get caught up with the @.600 #'s. Port velocity is very important for low-mid range power which is where most engines spend the majority of time in.

At 2hp per cfm these heads should produce +/- 675 horsepower / torque - On pump gas.

CSA (Cross Sectional Area) = 2.9645 ; based on The McFarland Formula Torque Peak should occur approximately @:

400 ci 5200+/-
440 ci 4600+/-
500ci 4200+/-

Horsepower generally peaks at 1500 rpm PAST Peak Torque; with these heads you should never have to see 7K RPM (more expensive components required to turn higher rpms)

Porting Info:

(8) New 2.19 SS intake valves, check valve roundness, dual backcut, surface heads
Stage VI spacers port matched to intake manifold and ported heads

Gold Crane 1.6 ratio rocker arms with steel shafts - normal wear and tear came off heads prior to being ported
Mopar Performance Valve Covers (2) - normal wear and tear P#04532024 - I believe these valve covers are from the 1970's. They are the original style valve covers which are a heavier casting than the ones produced today.

Reason for sale is I'm saving for a Gen 2 Hemi. At this time I do not want to break anything up. Thank you.

Hi Mike,

There are no springs on the heads. Jim removed my old springs and put on retainers to keep everything setup for shipping. I didn't include springs because someone may want to run a flat tappet, hydraulic cam, or a roller cam and their spring rates are different.
I used these heads on my RB 440 stroked to 496 and had the Mopar Purple .590 cam Flat Tappet.
I will post a photo of the port matched spacers in a bit. However, the spacers are only required on an RB Block. On a B Block use the RB manifold, no spacers required.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Ironically, I'll be in Fresno tomorrow morning for work. I should be finished by 1 pm.

Just curious, what did these flow before porting?

Hi Satty,

The heads were ported prior by a shop out of So. Cal. The porter did a fairly decent port job, but is no match compared to Mr. Laroy. Jim probably could have squeezed out a few more CFM.
But here's the flows PRIOR to Jim's handiwork:

.100..............69/59
.200............121/117
.300............179/170
.400............234/218
.500............275/242
.600............299/256
.700............295/262

Good for about +/-600 hp prior to the porting. Lots of fun on the street with those flow#'s, but the heads now will produce even more on the low end and up top.

Stock these heads were expensive and they STUNK flow-wise out of the box. But with a great porter they can be made to scream!; they're a small 239cc runner...which flow near identical to INDY's CNC'd 295's....that are 295cc's.

SOLD.....YEAH BABY. New owner to use the heads with a turbo!
