What is the deal with Mopar Transmission Oil Pan # 2464419? the 1969 parts catalog has it listed with a drain plug for all 727 transmissions. I have never seen or heard of this pan anywhere and have only seen the 727's with the flat pan with no plug. Does anyone know where to get one? Are they being repopped? Trying to get my 69 Charger R/T 440 RB, Auto back to OEM.:angry1:

I have owned many, many. and have never seen a drain plug in the pan. I wish they did! what a mess it is when you have to drop it.

Just found these pics. From a restored Hemi Charger 500. Looks OEM correct but don't know for sure. Check out the Link for all of the cars pics. 173998_3f094da4bf_low_res.jpg174000_f8a1c9f778_low_res.jpg

I believe that is too deep of a pan to be OEM. I like it though. anyone disagree?

That is for sure an aftermarket deep pan but a nice one, doesn't look like the cheap repops.

Looks just like the old mopar performance pan I have on my 65 coronet, Was a deep pan and came with the aluminum spacer for the filter. Was Mopar performance part number P4120161 the chrome pan, and P3690730 for the unplated version. They also made both for the 904 trans too. Early 90's if i remember right...

I too have had a gazillion T/F trannys and the only factory drain plug I've seen is a 62B that I had. It had a shallow pan with a plug but it would not fit the later tranny. Was going to use it on my 72 SSP but it hit the filter or something.

Yeah that pan looks just like the Mopar deep pan I have on my car.

OK Thanks for the input. Like I said the 69 parts book is confusing as it says "with plug". Here is a pic of what I am going with. I believe it is the correct one and was told it is off of a 69 727 with a 383. Let me know if anyone disagrees. I plan on cleaning it and getting it re-plated.

I bought a universal trans pan plug kit... it's a 1/2" hole with plug... I put it in by the dip tube but it could be put in the side for ground clearance issue... they sell them at jegs or most auto parts places... the ones from summit leak...
