I've had Fords, Chevys and am kind of new to MOPARS - what I've noticed is why are the cylinder heads and cams so small for Chrysler products?

I can get a hydraulic roller for a BBC that has .625 lift etc...

Heads: I was on the Indy site and 325cc heads for a 604CI engine? In the Chevy world you could put those on a 496ci. Some of the factory heads were 300+ cc's.

Is there a reason for this?

Anyway just an observation.

Welcome to the world of MOPARS! Remember, Big Al that the 440 or the 383 are not the ultimate performance Mopar engines, the HEMI is. Look at the specs for head flow and cams you can get for a Hemi and you will find they exceed what is available for Chevys and Fords. That is why all Top Fuel motors are based on the Hemi design and why famed engine builder Sonny Leonard designed Hemi heads to fit his mountain motor Chevys. But also consider that the wedges still hold their own on the street and track.
