Most of us can relate (unfortunately)

I woke up not long ago and realized my mortality. Almost all of my elders are passed on and as one guy I know put it, soon its our turn up at bat.
Thinking of mortality is normal, being obsessed is not good. The choice is your
Fight the thought process of giving up because you get older. Do something you never did before or never thought of doing. Restore broken relationships if possible and let go of grudges. Let your conscious be clear and do not let negative people rent space in your head. If your wrong as hard as it might be, admit it.
Just remember in life and after life all we have is our family and good name. Its how your remembered after your gone, how loved ones hold you close to there hearts and in there memories that counts and the impact you left in there lives while on this earth.
Hey enough of this, im going to the doctors then get my haircut do some food shopping, check in on the mother in law and then mess around in the garage , then do some cooking, got little time to think of the grime reaper. LOL

its hard sometimes to get a good grasp of what people are really like on a forum.
often we are taken the wrong way when posting or trying to make a point.
hopefully, this post is easy enough to understand.

Steve,
Words to think about and well done my friend!!

Just attended one of my childhood friends wife's wake this week. She was consumed by cancer, 75 lbs. at the time of her merciful death. We grew up together from about 8 and when I look at him now, at 71 I'm amazed how fast it all went by. We kidded about how he got to be 16 first and got his license and then 18, 21 all before me. Well, he got to 70 two years before me and he said, I will stop bragging now. We are the next up to bat as all our prior generation relatives are gone. I don't fear death, what I will regret is MY leaving of those I love. I grew up with many cousins and most of us are close to this day. As they have passed it's like a piece of me has left with them. I tell my family (and a couple friends) I love them when we part, because it may be the last time I see them, or they see me.

Don't be afraid. God loves ALL of us, whether you believe he exists or not, or whatever name you call Him....HE LOVES ALL OF US

Don't be afraid of it. Don't wait to have fun. I don't want to die any time soon but I am not afraid to die. It is finite - it is what it is, the mandatory conclusion. I can only hope for myself and anyone else that I care for that it is quick and painless...
