1974 Jensen Interceptor - $7200 (Griffin)

fuel: gas
title status: missing
transmission: automatic
type: coupe

Copper metallic with cream colored leather. It looks to have been repainted once. It doesn`t run. I haven`t even hooked a battery up to it. It`s a 440 car with a single Holley carb. AC, automatic. At some time in it`s life, a previous owner installed a Nardi steering wheel.

I don`t believe it`s ever been hit. It`s a complete car needing a COMPLETE restoration. The roof panel needs to be replaced. The hood will need to be replaced. There is other rust. IT NEEDS EVERYTHING.

No title. Before buying ID number run through PD to make sure it not hot. Parts where are you going to find them , have a plan for that?

One of my fab buddies, has one in his shop. It's got a 6 bbl setup on it. It's a POS, and I'd make a tube-chassis car out of it.

An old friend of mine had a 440 powered auto Jensen back in the 80's. Sadly he passed away due to a Jeep incident on a ranch in Northern California back in 1989. The family squabbled over his estate and the car hasn't been seen since. He was one super cool dude, and that car was awesome. I will always remember cruising with him in my Road Runner listening to Slade way too loud on the stereo.

get down and get with it:thumbsup:
Everybody stamp your feet.....
Went to a "House Demo" with my mate (his name was Roger as well) and he said bring a friend, and bring an axe. I thought he was kidding....not my mate Rog...he was absolutely "saidly darious"
It was a house demolition party. Guys were running through the roof space, kicking the **** out of everything, pulling down corner posts, it was fuc&ing nuts, and hilarious all at the same time. One guy got pulled over pulling a huge burnout in an old Falcon right outside the house.
Pics or it didn't happen....digital cameras weren't around back then but, this is the aftermath - the bucket on the digger was actually through the lounge roof, and it served as the communal ice-bucket. COOL!!!

Taken a few days later....

Them skids marks are from the falcon, and that's my Road Runner trunk lid.

When I find a pic of Rog cruising his Corvette I'm gonna post it...as a tribute to him. He deserves it. Just have to locate the album it's in. :D

Bounty Rum is awesome....second one now after a hard day outside.

I'll try to take a "Now " photo of that house tomorrow....it looks great now.

Now, I gotta see if the one at my friend's shop is for sale. If so......I'll part it out. It already has a partial roll-cage in it. The body is intact.....but everything but the driveline is off the car. It may run and drive.

imma leave this here,
if you start watching be warned its a Full episode.
Cheers !

They're different, but no way I'd ever want one. With the exception of the engine & transmission, it's another British car that's prone to electrical and other problems.

instead of red xing yer post, ill just reply here.
not into that kinda thing, hope nobody minds.

anyways, that particular car was really well built.
the electronics and so forth were of good design,
and the car itself usually only suffers from rust/rot problems.
keep in mind this is a sports car/as far as they were concerned /
and its got 4 wheel discs and rack and pinion steering.

modding one of these up to Magnum 440 specs would probably make this a Screamer.....
now, just think what one of the next gen Hemis would do in there....
