I've changed the wood deck 3 times, and the fenders once, brakes once, put diamond plate up front, put two winches on it, went to 10 ply tires, blasted the wheels and had them powder coated. Well, it's in for my own version of an overhaul!

I knew I needed to hang this in one of my Rotisseries, but, how does one hang a 24ft overall length, very heavy, and wide (did I meantion HEAVY) trailer? Well, I just lengthened the crap out of my main B Body Rotisserie, lifted Trailer up on lift, had to cut out the rear axle (to allow trailer to scoot between the lift pistons), and started to hang this monster!

Intent is to replace the floor with Diamond Plate, make new ramps that slide out the back, rewire the entire trailer, new brakes, new lights, media blast the entire trailer, epoxy prime it, rubberized undercoating under it, possible have the entire top side Rhino Lined (not sure yet), put conduit on the underside running wiring through it, reinstall Winch, make Battery box, install a Tool box, and install the Electric jack. Yeah, it's a job, but, a job that is definitely needed to be done. Compare a trailer with Diamond Plate to one made of wood, well, there's no comparison!

Donny, with all that work and matl. you should look at the alum. trailers. Lots lighter and awesome looking. Just a thought. Good luck.

I thought about just selling it and getting a new one, but, prices are not what I want to pay, rather rebuild this one, and give it another 20 yrs of life!

I bought a trailer in the late 70's that I did much of the same thing with. About 15 years ago, I bought a turn key race car and it came with a trailer and so I sold my old one. Problem is, the 'new' trailer did fine loaded but unloaded, it pulled like crap. My old trailer pulled like it wasn't there when it was empty....

This one pulls fine loaded and or unloaded. It's a lot of work, but it's very rewarding, making it better than when new. The best part is re-weld up the hillbilly welds Bubba did in East Texas when they made it!
