Another issue you should look for as far as water leaks Josh, and these cars are known for it is; leaks from you plenum's in the cowl. Under your outer cowl (panel in front of the windshield-Behind hood) there is two air plenums for your cabin vents, one on each opposite site. The protrude up about 3" from the inner cowl. What happens is leaves, dirt, pine needles and whatever else collect around them, rotting them out. What happens then is, when water goes down through your slots in the outer cowl it flows down across the inner cowl to the plenum's. If there's holes, the water continues right down into your vent boxes then onto your floor.
I've seen folks chalking up water leaks from that as leaks from the wiper pivot seals or windshield seal. Also seen cars with duct tape over the vent openings because guys think it has something to do with the seal around the vent butterfly in the vent box. Good way to check is turn the water hose on halfway and let water flow into the slots of the outer cowl. See if you have water coming in at the vent boxes.
Unfortunately if they are leaking, there is no real easy way to fix them right. The outer cowl must be drilled out and removed, requiring removal of the hood, fenders, doors, trim, winshield to get to all the spot welds. I've seen folks say the heck with the vents and cut a piece of plastic or metal and seal the vent box up to keep the water out or even get up to the inside of the plenum's by removing the vent boxes and then try to fix by means of fiberglass sheeting or trying to patch in metal. Those would be a temporary fix.
Just thought i'd throw that out there.
