Still not done yet!

Thanks, the eddy one is just for driving around, I use the unlicensed one for hanging out or shows. The 493 needs lots of air lol

Sorry guys re organized my photo bucket folders and files and forgot they loose the links will have them back up right away.

So For some reason I couldn't edit the original post so re doing it here. Even found some more, see getting organized is a good thing! lol So a combination of before and after, some just a preference change, others a necessary change. Sorry for any duplicates. If you need to see anything specific for reference let me know I take lots of pics and probably have one ;)

looking good big man. Many thanks for all those photos. You and I are going down almost the exact same road. Is that a 1970?

Will spend more time studying them on your photobucket link where I can blow them up to larger size.

Thanks, what started out to be a motor swap with just kind of throwing things together to get it on the road has ended up with a laundry list of things that I had to go back to to change or fix. It's funny because you get so wound up in the swap and getting it running that you forget that that wire you ran to the stater was routed wrong or the seepdo cable is in the wrong hole in the fire wall etc etc. I think I have spent the last few months going back over some of this stuff to correct it.

I have always maintained this project be drivable, because I knew if I did a complete tear down I would never have the wherewithal to see it through and didn't want to give up. yes it is harder to resto things this way I mean harder to get to things, I have no lift in my garage, so trying to re apply things like undercoating is a bitch on your back, lol But doing this way for me is the best I could have done, It's fun to go out to the garage and fix / restore something then get in the car and drive it around testing it / showing off ;) plus the on my budget it may not be perfect or professionally restored but I'm ok with that as long as it doesn't bother me after,

I have OCD so when something gets one flaw in it I go crazy until I can fix it right or fix it to a point to were I feel it's expectable. This of course to a small extent since I would have probably cut my own arm off with the crappy paint job that's on it now lmao just kidding!

So many little things on these cars that I am finding just down to the correct fire wall grommet is exciting for me to get fixed. The little accomplishments make it fun to keep going. Then there's the adder's still eye balling that sort of new dizzy from firecore @ Mancini's want one bad along a red cap battery.

by pass you're bulkhead connector and alt meter and relay you're headlights to upgrade your electrics to match the rest.... I need to take some pics of my 67 coronet .... thanks for the time to share the knowledge...

Thanks, The alt gauge is already bypassed, it was done when I bought the car I really hadn't gotten into that very much I see where they cut the wires in the harness, didn't see any scorch marks from it ever burning up so just assuming at the time one of the PO who I know was having fuel gauge issues based on one of the receipts the last guys gave me. They never fixed it so maybe around then some one decided to cut it loose, it was a burned solder trace on the circuit board, fixed that then recently found a donor board, that was missing some of the pins at the connector part, replaced those and now have a clean cluster board that works great nice and bright I think I have pics let me see. When I got the car the 383 was still using the points dizzy and the ign relay and ballast resistor. When I did the swap and decided to go with a one wire alt I removed all of that, still have it in a box too :) So now it runs directly with the msd 6al and the mech advance dizzy with the msd coil. Yes the alt wires still go through the bulk head but stop inside at the harness. Now that I think about it I have to remeber where the engine bay side of them are? lol dam it OCD kicking in now and I'm at work ****!

I know I said engine bay stuff, but have a lot of interior and cluster stuff too lol amp gauge not in use but there to fill the whole wish they made a volt gauge to fit there would be awesome.

Hey big man - couple of questions. Where did you get and who made your billet thermostat housing? Explain the change of the transmission linkage kickdown bracket change. I see one it looks like the original - Im guessing you had to trim a little off the end to get it to fit your intake? Then later, you show a totally different linkage mounting bracket - kinds looks like a coil relocation bracket??

Thanks bro

Ok, Let me see if I can get all your questions right lol

1. Where did you get and who made your billet thermostat housing? - 440Source. http://store.440source.com/Billet-Aluminum-Water-Neck-New/productinfo/114-1004/

2. Explain the change of the transmission linkage kick-down bracket change. - Originally from the engine swap I had planned on using the one that came off the 383. It was factory, still have it. But, the throttle would bind up due to the eddy air gap manifold being taller, fortunately the guys over at one of my favorite places AR Engineering were already on this one and they make the new bracket you see. Thanks Mancini racing for turning me on to them love all those guys. This one is a new version - - - http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mathbrkiin38.html
After I switched carbs from the eddy 800 TO THE QF 850 I wanted their return spring set up so the 10th pic from the last pic is what it is now. Oh and no trimming off the end it bolts right up and good to go, just adjust the throttle cable to were you want it and bam.

Coil bracket - again my favorites at AR Engineering again, You can get these through Mancini if you ask but I don't think they have them listed on there site. I have OCD and the coil laying flat in the beginning was interfering with the air cleaner and other stuff so found that bracket, I love it. keeps the coil up right, cool and to me it looks good. I guess that one is a matter of preference ;0

Let's see did I get them all?
