My fellow Canadians ...

There is no fee at Paypal for "friends and family" transfers of funds.
Is that different in CA?

Yes there is.. Generally about 2 or 3 bucks. It varies pending whether you pull funds from a balance, you bank account or a credit card. I got hit for $2.10US to Brett last week from my account balance on $190 and then $2.11 for $50 for a coil.

The greedy bastages have their hand on your money in either direction.....you can't win.

It's just like a Casino......the house always wins.

I've used PP for several years and never paid to either receive or send via F+F to a private party...
They get their money off of commercial transactions (and interest on their lines of credit, of course).

I’m calling bullshit on this. The US has 10 times our population and only 2 or 3 warehouses. And they open one up here?! The infrastructure costs alone would be ridiculous and all they’d be saving is a few bucks on shipping -MAYBE … they probably get a better deal shipping from the US than they would in Canada. So show me proof. The last thing I find pertaining to Canadian orders is “all orders ship from the Tallmadge location”.

Yup I have had many things shipped from Mississauga. Usually arrived within a day or two.
The stuff that comes from Ohio usually takes a good week. At least that is my experiences as of late.

So you order from Summit ... and the shipment comes from somewhere in Ontario ?!

I did find this, but no mention of it being a "Summit" facility

Canadian Return Instructions

Returning Items from Canada

In order to save you shipping costs and the hassle of going through customs, we consolidate Canadian returns at a facility in Mississauga. They take care of all the customs paperwork and then send the items to our returns center. This can take up to 21 days.

Only one way to settle this ...

Sent to Summit:

Please settle a debate ... does Summit have a distribution warehouse in Canada ?

I asked last year about an International e-transfer. The bank told me they are Country specific. I use Moneygram. Not WU Moneygram. I’ll ask the bank this week. Kim

I had a hard time understanding all this international money exchange crap when I started selling my 3D printing stuff. Did some research , ended up with Paypal. It is hassle free , and pretty safe and quick, but you pay for it with their fees. . I just adjust my price with the fees in mind.

Its nice when i deal with someone with-in Canada, E-transfer.... doesn't get any easier. Except for the part where its about the same price to ship something in the country than outside it. ????? I just had to do a quote for sending something parts to Italy. I can get it there for as low as $12. Mind you there is no tracking and it will probably take about 3 weeks or more .

Ship something out west , to BC looking around $15. Same part down to Texas $13 ....

There is a very good youtube video explaining why postage rates are what they are.

I divorced myself from PP immediately after that stunt with the release saying they were going tap you for $2500 for - now i forgot the reason. But what ever it was doesn't matter anymore - The divorce is final. I got the kids gave them the business and I moved out... Lol. Besides that they're part of the evil empire so I completed my removal from the entire La Familia. I wouldn't pass a nickel thru them if they fronted me $5k to do it....

Now ya know ...

That is interesting! Would you possibly feel inclined to ask Summit how they ship things to Canadian customers? You appear to have connections.
Thank you.
