Well this has been a long-short road..haha. I have traveled almost 900 miles in the last 2+ weeks. All over the Tri-State area. I looked at a 1968 Satellite Sport RR clone, 2 1970 RR clones all big blocks..but the bodies were rough and the prices were high... I have pics but they are very poor quality.
I am going to pick it up on Saturday..so will upload new pics then. It has a 383 out of a 67..it has a 727w/ 3500 stall converter, 509 cam, torker2 intake w/ 750 holley carb, H-pipe w/ flowmasters, 83/4 suregrip 489 case w/ 391gears,new 15'' ralley wheels. Has clean,stock interior(black).
I was on the fence about it judging from the pics the guy sent me..and contemplated wasting this 3 hour drive today. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the barn door open and the B5 blue shining out.. It's got a nice rumble..can't wait to get it home. Here are the pics he sent me..Def don't do it justice though...

Nice car. Funny thing is, since I replaced my hood it lays the same way in that position. When it is closed it fits fine, but it kind of bugs me. I swapped the springs around and it is still the same. Anybody got any ideas on this. Ron.

Glad you made up your mind, I think you made the right choice...:headbang:

HAHAHA! Awesome! I saw the PM man, congratulations! I'm excited for you man, I hope I get to see it at a show somewhere between here and there. I'm glad to hear it was so much better in person. Mine went the exact opposite way, so I'm really happy to see it go so well for you.

I read your thread...I only saw the exterior and briefly underneath in my work clothes on a cardboard box on top of an ice patch...so the real truth will come when i get it on a lift..but right now looks good. The lower valance needs adjustment, the 3 inch h-pipe dumps out just before rear axle and vibrates the center console bad at idle. The reverse lights don't work..but all others do.

Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure it will be hard to keep that smile off your face when cruisin' down the road. Hope to see you at some of the shows in North Jersey this year.

Yeah, the lift tells all tales. Lol.

As far as the reverse light goes, check out the neutral safety switch when you have it up on the lift. My reverse lights don't light up either, but I neglected to check the switch. The reason I suggest it is that I hear that sometimes the central prong being a smidge longer can cause issues. Wish I could elaborate more.
