my " new " tow rig

saw this posted on cl thursday couldnt get a reply till friday,
the reply was 1500 or trades,and i thanked him and backed off.
by friday nite it was sold.

sunday morning,i get a text from him,
hes irked beyond belief and wants it gone from his driveway....
turns out the original buyer who made a deal for a b stick and some cash,
never showed up all weekend...and he waited.

so he offered it to me for 500 bucks...and if i drove all the way to him,6 hour round trip,
hed knock off another 50.
that being said,7 hours later,heres my newest member of the dodge family,
and a good tow rig as well.
1984 318 auto 2wd with 122k on the speedo.

"stick" is a slang term used in south florida(miami for example) which is used to describe an ak- 47, but is also sometimes used to describe a big gun(automatic) such as an ar- 15 or m- 16.

lol yeah over the past coupla years they have gotten Really **** about people selling or trading b = boom sticks round here in Ny.
used to be able to find em all the time at yard sales even,
now ya gotta kinda hint around lol.

thanks for the compliments on the truck,
it turned out to have real minimal rust,
and needs seals more than anything else,as the cali sun really did a number on those.
looks like the fuel tank lines are leaking tho,and combined with the tow hitch,thatll be an epic job.
36 gal tank and its wedged in there good....
i got half the headliner done tonite,and hopefully have the other half by friday/the rear half.

this will be a light duty tow rig,but,
ive been thinking about the bigblock auto combo i have sitting..out of a dodge truck ;)

wasnt any rounds to speak of lol.
usually im brutal and break people down on their prices,
but this was so far out there,him dropping from 1500 - 500,
that i couldnt do more than gape at the truck,check the body,listen to it run,and pay the guy.
plus the extra 50 off when our original intent was to drive all the way there didnt hurt either.
i also sent him a text today thanking him again for the great deal.

sad thing tho fellas,yall see that Jeep in the picture?
thats what he replaced the ram with...to tow his big boat with.
personally,ida kept the ram...
