Hello all, I am in the process of adding on some goodies onto my 440 and I noticed right below where the fuel pump used to be, which now has a plate, there is a 3/8" plugged hole. What is this for? Can I put my temp sensor in there???

Let me specify a little clearer, I want to put a temp sensor for the electric fan relay somewhere other than then water pump. Can I put it in the plugged hole below the fuel pump?

More than likely that's just the plug that allows the pump push rod to be installed

jimbo, the sensor needs to go into the water pump or the radiator in order to give an accurate reading for the fan sensor. You might also concider an override switch in the event the sensor craps out,you can still turn the fans on. I run 2 fans in my junk with no sensor and separate switches and relays for each fan,can you guess why?
