checked reluctor and replaced coil. No change...

I'm about to put the old carb back on. Can't think of anything else to try.

Well, I threw the 25 year old Holley back on and she runs fine now.

Actually, this turned out to be a vacuum leak. With the Edelbrock carb and performer intake you need a particular adapter. Got that and put AVS2 back on. Runs perfect!
