Apparently she and her kid were swimming & he got back aboard but she didn't. I'm thinking the kid was thrashing his legs getting out and kicked her in the nose. Didn't realize it. We shall see, if they find her body.

Sad deal it sure appears. Reminds me of my uncle, an excellent swimmer; he and his wife were on their annual vacation to Hawaii years ago. He decided to go for a swim in the ocean and it was his last. The authorities recovered his body about 2 hours after he went missing. What always confused us was the "inconclusive" autopsy. Yet when we viewed him in his casket, he had a half-dollar size knobby on his forehead! He was swimming in a popular surfing area and guessed maybe a board could have hit him...well after 30 years now we'll certainly never know. All his siblings, including my mom, are gone.

Thanks, not to go off the topic; but my aunt never got beyond her grief, they didn't have kids and she fell off the grid mostly. They were worth a couple million as my uncle had a thriving real estate biz. Every so often we'd hear she moved somewhere finally ending up in Vegas. Each move was to cheaper living accommodations. She was found dead in a trailer home...ahh she was dead for weeks in there before she was found. She was pert-near broke. She was sealed in a metal enclosure put in a casket and remember, as a pall bearer, how friggin heavy it was! Six of us young guys had a lot of trouble handling it waiting for a handle to break off the box. We figured she blew it at the casino's and/or some scam guys looking for old ladies with money snagged her.

I find it a little hard to understand why a single mother with a 4 year old would rent a pontoon and go swimming in a resivior. It just seems kind of dangerous to begin with. RIP

This whole thing seems very staged to me......unless they come up with a body.....I'm going with hoax.

Who knows, seems as though with their hi-tech equipment they'd a located her. Good sized lake and poor visibility. After this much time...body should be ahh in a floating phase...unless she was abducted...hope she could be alive somehow. Don't know, wearing a life vest is always a good idea, especially when out alone. As a retired safety engineer I would say this...on another note, wish more cyclists would wear hi-vis garb to give themselves a little protection edge...good %...nada.
