I'm out of state. I need to hire an expert B Body mechanic and a guy that also knows his numbers on a 71 Roadrunner.
Does anyone know a qualified guy in Oklahoma City, Ok.
I want to put it on a lift and check the numbers. It's
supposed to be all # matching.
I want to get what I'm paying for. Thanks

Hi
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum!

-Sorry, I am ion the West Coast, can not help but hang on, some one will come around...

There's a bunch of guys on here from OKC. Welcome to the forum. Does the guy have documentation on the vehicle or is numbers matching the whole ball of wax - nothing wrong with that.

welcome to FBBO from hot & dry NorCal

good luck with your search

He is not a car guy. Just says it is. He knows the history for the last 29 years. I'll know this weekend. I'm fling there Saturday to check myself. I'm an X-Airline employee), so I fly for free. I'm on a tight budget. I will keep you posted.

Welcome to the site be very careful just because he doesn't know what happened before he was involved throws up a red flag as most of the motor s were blown up with in a few years of being new . Can you fill us in a little with the car info what eng and so on. If the cars a 318 car then more then likely it's org if it's a well just about anything else it may have had a rough life and possibly a motor swap or trans swap . It's hard to say without being there so hopefully someone around there gets the memo and can help you out but if your going why not take a look your self it's not hard. Find a mechanic shop to look it over and why it's up look at the numbers. If you tell us what's in it we will tell you where to look . These guys here are very helpful.

I'd definitely check that sounds like one that probably had a rough start in its life . I don't know where numbers are on the big blocks as I'm more a small block guy .
Sounds like a sweet ride how much ais he asking? I'm a charger fan not much for the roadrunners but respect them and if one needed a home wouldn't turn it away . Someone will pipe in in the a.m. make sure you go in around 9 or so and post something as it will get down a few pages and no one will see it . Unless they go looking good luck
