So I bought a console lock from yearone -and it hits were the latch catch is??? any clues

Yes the console lock catches that metal piece that mounts on the inside of the console. I posted a link to them on ebay above.
lock hits latch,so do I the wrong lock?70 bee the lock is square shaped inside the console.
