Thank you I love it always wanted one searched on and off for years figured I'd go with #'s And this popped up and They were great to to deal with and we made a deal I love blue classic cars my Belair is painted similar color . Plus the charger was always that color which influenced my decision . I hope it's not something really bad I just know In any motor That metal to
Metal sound is like fingers on a chalk board ugh hate not knowing what it is ..

I would change the oil and tear open the filter for any signs of metal. Check the starter/dust cover, could be catching/hanging up on the flywheel. Did you run the car in neutral so the torque converter can build up fluid?

Yes warmed it up in neutral was about 170 when we pulled outta the driveway just idle coasted about 50 meters then gave it normal gas and shifted into 2nd gave a lil
Gas maybe 15-20mph just cruising and bam clang clang clang !!! Turned around instantly and gave it a lil gas in 2nd and rolled into driveway would idle when coasting and even when I was parking but sounded so bad sounded like metal to metal

Clang. Sounds like something outside the engine, if it was idling ok. Nevertheless, do not start until the cause is determined. I've seen weird things make clang noise from loose fans to separated flywheel ring teeth to a piece of metal from the road wrapped around the driveshaft.

Is the noise only when moving or does it make noise when Idling at a stop?

I'm starting to agree with dazzle on originality. That is a sweet car. Good luck. Even the console door is aligned, unheard of in these parts. For the 70 owners, I thought the Chargers had WOM's and rocker trim?

Very nice car, but those Flowmaster mufflers have to go. My ears hurt just looking at them.

Put the headers on.TTI - I believe 440-200's. Stash the manifolds away up in the attic. like Dr. Cranium mentioned, the flowmasters gotta go unless your in love with them. They have no soul. a set of DYNOMAX Super Turbos will sound great

WOM's yes, Rocker Trim No..

Very sweet looking Charger. As has been said if you decide to do some mods make sure and stash the original parts in your garage or attic. I modified my GTX and would do it again but then again that was many decades ago that I did that. If it was original today I’m not sure I would have made all the changes. Headers are not a big deal from a mod standpoint -especially if you keep your manifolds.
