Never seen calipers that look like this.

Years ago my buddy did his front brakes and bought one new caliper. Well I go over and he says he can’t get peddle to come up. We look and the sold him the wrong side. We had to turn it upside down and put a 2x4 in there to bleed it properly. He had to leave to go out of town that night and every parts store was close , it was his only means of transportation. It worked , but now I wonder if my memory is wrong ! Was the bleeder up or was it down. What ever way it was the 2x4 did the job. I do my own brakes but it’s been a real long time since I’ve changed a caliper. I have to go and look at my truck now

Just buy the pin kit on rockauto.com. Comes with 4 inner rubber bushing, 4 outer rubber bushing , called disc brake hardware kit (1970 Cuda)
The rubber bushings push into the caliper , 2 large inner and 2 small outer pr caliper. Make sure to grease the large shoulder on the pins so caliper can slide
More Information for CENTRIC 11763002

Your pins are not too long, that's the way they are, at least I think so. You can also buy the pins seperately if you're convinced they're too long
