This ‘70 RR came down my street couple hours ago. Never seen before, now I have to do some digging!

The neighbor texted me, “sounds like a lopey cam”, naw not running quite right. 1 hr later sounded better. Still have to check out the location. Makes my soul feel better with another Mopar in area.

Already have another’70 going together about 2miles away. That guy is very meticulous, 2car garage and the only car in there is his project.

Cool wheels & tires too

:thankyou: for sharing

I rarely ever see a vintage or muscle car era MoPar here
I rarely see older muscle of any kind driving around here now

I used to see a few cool cars in my neighborhood
(I live in an 80-ish home community, 15+ miles up east from town)
a couple of the car guys have moved out or passed on
one of the neighbors, across the street & 2 houses down Hyde St.
He had a hot-rod semi-flat black 41 Plym. 2 dr Coupe,
tubbed wider tires, nice centerlines
with a 6:71 blown 340 w/headers & big exhaust system,
sounded pretty rowdy, lil rough, but he drove it
& he also had a piss yella' 66 Barracuda with a HiPo 273 4 speed 8-3/4 rear (IIRC)
he never finished, before he moved/transferred out, it was stored outside
the blown coupe was in the garage, with his wife's car
(96 Vett Convertible)
He had an Adventure (?) later 90's 1 ton 4wd Dodge van, loud exhaust
(obnoxiously loud)
nice wheels & tires, lifted, it's his work rig, with a built up 360 Magnum too

my neighbor across the street
when the Dad of the guy lived there Tom & Candy
(His son Tommy lives there now, with his family like 7 cars, mostly newer stuff
his young son Shea was into cars, VWs, Mustangs, Subaru WRX, before
he got into airplanes
)
he had a cool 2 tone Pro-street/tubbed 47 Ford 2 dr Coupe
(Bought at Barrette Jackson, Scottsdale)
he did his own touches to it, leather interior new paint etc.,
redid the wiring & engine
(help from Calif. Hot Rods up here)
w/hot 351 Cleveland/C6 man. VB 3k stall, nice sounding solid roller lifter cam,
4 Webbers GT40 manifold, tuned headers etc.
he also had a nice
Convertible 69 396-SS white & black Chevelle, restored perfect
sounded pretty rowdy for stock 375hp 396

other neighbor below me has a 68 cj5 Jeep/Kaiser
'Burnt Orange MoPar colored'
hopped up lil' Dauntless 225 v6 w/headers & 4wd torque cam
I helped guided him to restore

there's a CHP up the street still building it (has a young family, young guy)
that has a old 31 Ford PU, hot lil' 289 & T10 w/9" ford rear w/4 bar & indep. front
never seen it start or move yet, going on like 8 years now
he tinkers a bit

It's Ford or Ram 4x4 truck & Jeep Country up here, mostly
a lot of newer Fords or Rams lifted etc.
I'm sure there's more cars too, I just don't see them when I get out
our founder parade, before Mothers day annually, we'll see a few

A guy a cross the street from me has a bunch of unfinished projects,
mostly multiple Ford Trucks & a Motorhome, snow sleds, trailers, Harley etc.
I call Sanford & Sons, 'Damon' he an ok guy, just too much stuff
stored in a residential setting

We used to have a
burgers & shakes deal (like cars & coffee) at 4-9pm every Friday
when weather permitted, some 20-30 cars would show up,
some from down Murphy way or Angles Camp
& all over the hills upcountry, it started tapering off...
About the time I got really busy with my dad's heart stuff etc.
It was at a burger joint down the hill in Jamestown 25-ish miles,
right on hwy-108 at the 1st stoplight, it has disappeared
or I haven't got the notice where it is :poke:

bunch of people have Harley now or Jeeps

our fuel/gas is really bad,
but not bad enough to stop building cars "yet"
