Hi I am new tho this site I am from Spruce Grove Alberta and I have a 62 Fury Convertible that I have owned since 1969 It was a Golden Comando (361cid) but I blew the engine in 1972 and it has been in my garage since then. I just started to put it back together this year and so far I have got rid of the tapered axles and put disc brakes on the front and I am puting 11 in. drum brakes on the rear. In the future I will be installing a 440 coupled to the original big block push button 727. I hope to get some ideas from the people on this site and also to find some missing parts. etc.

Welcome Jim O!

Love the '62's. You blew a Mopar engine? What rear did you swap too?

And if you have ever searched this site before you know, we need pictures!

Good luck with the restore. Start a thread and keep us posted.

Another Canuck! Welcome to FBBO. A lot of your fellow Canucks on the site from all over Canada.

This is a great site for getting tips and advice on things. As you've already heard we love pics of members cars. Let's see your ride.....

Welcome to FBBO Jim.

Hi and thanks every one. Right now my car is not very pretty it needs some patches in the rear quarters and lower front fenders and it needs a new top and the interior is a mess. I also have to mention that I lack the skills of knowing how to post pictures. For the poster that asked what housing I used it measured end to end total ( housing only) 54.15 and my original measured 53.250 so according to Hemmings it is a 66 or 67 B body diff housing . I did not get to see the car that it was removed from. I just got the housing and I'm using my 3,23 posi diff and I hope to put 11'' A body brakes if I can find a good drum in Red Deer on Saturday. ( I have the backing plates and 1 drum). I did have to move the spring putches slightly and I know I can compensate for the extra width with wheel back spacing.
Thanks again for the welcome
Jim O
