Hello to all! I just joined here, obviously. I have a '65 Coronet sedan AWB project in the works that has been ongoing for a little over a year now. Yesterday I bought a '63 Polara hardtop. I think it's a 440 model. $650, and 25minutes from home. Extremely solid car with the only rot bieng a few spots in the trunk above the the gastank and a small patch in the lower rear corner of the driver-side front fender. The quarters, floors, rear wheelwells, rockerpanels, and firewall/cowl are perfect along with the framerails and the front inner-fender panels. Car came with all of the interior and body trim except the taillights. There is no visible collision damage and all the panels are original to the car with the original tan/cream color showing in the doorjambs/trunkrails, below the window trim, and the topside of the floorpan. Hood is missing though.

I am seriously looking forward to getting to know the crowd here and talking with other like-minded "b-body only" guys and girls. Cheers! Vince

Hi guys, and thanx for the welcome! AdamR, we're quite close together as you've already noticed. Let me know if you want to meet up for a beer or 2 and some Mopar talk anytime.

I was quite content in the Coronet forum with my in-progress '65 AWB sedan, but figured I need to branch out a little more now that I have the '63 Polara. Pics of my '65 are in my website (www.primerking.com), but I've attached a teaser anyway. Be forewarned, it's no creampuff.

Below is the link to the '63 Polara that I just bought. It's a remarkably solid California built V-8 car. Needs nothing but some attention to the trunkfloor above the gastank. Outer sections of the trunkfloor and the dropoffs to the quarters are MINT! There is original paint showing in the doorjambs, trunkrails, inside the doors/trunk/front fenders, and around the windows. Still has all it's original panels! I'll get it cleaned up for better pics when I get it home sometime this week.

Vince is a hard core militant when it comes to the A/FX stuff!

Pics of the '63 I brought home today, and the fendertag. Seller claims it was a 383 car, but I really can't tell for sure yet. Only sense I can make of the tag is it's a Polara 2door hardtop with a V-8 and tan paint; scheduled build date of December 18th 1962. I did not get a buildsheet with the car, but instead a few other things that were in the back seat.

Seems as though the handwritten note contains the same info as the fendertag. The 413 written at the very bottom makes me wonder. Maybe it's nothing? The yellow tag is also quite curious. It says "5 pieces" and there is something on the title about "Rallye Wheels". I'm thinking the tag is related to maybe something abnormal about the tires/wheels that the car was ordered with? What else would there be 5 of?
