Just picked up a 73 Road Runner.
Its been sitting for several years and currently the fuel tank is full of rust.
So I'll be installing a whole new fuel system.
Then im going to fix any structural rust and major body rust but keep the patina.
I should actually have the car here the end of the month to start the work on it.
Ill start a build thread if you guys are interested in seeing where it goes.
I know allot of you guys will not be into this type of build.

Is that the car from the Mad Max Weekend thing?

Yup, I lot of guys on here won't be into it, that's okay, different strokes for different folks. I've been into wheeling on and off since the early eighties and have seen all kinds of lifted cars, v w bugs, Cadilliacs, Lincolns, whatever. I got to say this one has a more interesting look to it, maybe cause it's a Mopar but I thinks it transcended more than that perhaps. I'd like to see more of it. Welcome from South Jersey.

Welcome from The Netherlands!

I personaly wouldn't go this route but it's cool to see what can be made out of a Roadrunner.

But we all have in common we enjoy our car. So enjoy it!

They used this car because it was very rusty.
They didn't just drop it on a Blazer chassis like allot do.
It has a custom built frame under it with lots of good parts.

Welcome from the Far End of the State ! I had a '73 Sport Satellite, that was a Great Car, and earned the nickname "Road Warrior", as I commuted daily from home to Rochester. That build looks awesome, but One question, Where in NY are you going to use it ? The Off-Roading around here is pretty limited...

It is theres a few places in the Catskill and Adirondack mountains. Plus some places in Vermont.
At some point id like to take it to Utah and travel around with it.
But for now just work on getting it running and fix some of the rust.
Probably take it to some car shows next summer.

Welcome to the site!! Never really been into offroading but have done some. Nothing major though.
