Hello, I'm a 63yr old retired coal miner,(41yrs).I had a 69 GTX when I was 19yrs old, it was a 4-speed car with the super track pack option,so I bought another a 69 GTX about 5 years ago.After I got the car home I quickley found out that the body was in much worse shape than I thought. I took the car to the AMD installation center in Georgia.Every body panel on the car is now new except the skelton,dash,frame rails, and trunk lid. AMD was supposed to get the car back to me in 3 months,but it took 2 years.I then took it to a paint shop,which was supposed to paint the car in 4 months for $5,000., but after paying him $8500. and waiting 2yrs. and 8 months, I finally just went and got it with no paint.(Lesson learned). I bought a 472" Hemi from Big Al,s toy box, a Tremec 6 speed trans from American Powertrain. So far I've installed a RMS front suppension,and 9" ford four link,coil over rear end.I've got Wilwood brakes for all 4. I"ve got the Hemi and Trans together and will put it in the car next. I'm planning on putting it all together,and then take it apart again to have it painted,when I find a paint man that I think I can trust. I still have alot to do. I need a 9" third member,radator,gas tank,fuel pump,brake lines, fuel lines,and complete interior among other things. What I really need is money.LOL.

welcome to fbbo inspector. did you get your $8500. back from the paint shop?btw, my dad was a coal miner in PA. tough work.

Hey 69roadr, I did not get any money back. Actually I had given him $7,000. and when I went to get the car, He said I owed him another $1500. before I could get my car. I'm too old to fight, and he is too big to whip, but he will answer for this one day. I'll have to wait for my Son to come buy to show me how to post pics, I'm better at mechanics than I am computers, Thank God.
