Hello all, as the title suggests, I’m new here. I have a 1967 D-100 in my driveway I’m trying to get back on the road. 318 is freshly rebuilt with 340 heads and a Howard’s rattler cam. 727 is on the ground waiting for me to tear into it. I’m running into trouble finding steering parts, namely the drag link and manual steering box. I knew taking on a non-Chevy this old I was going to hit bumps eventually. I just didn’t think it would be wearable items such as steering components.

Anyway, glad to be here and I welcome any and all questions, critiques, cheers, words of advice or whatever.

Welcome: I like these trucks. Be happy it doesn't have the factory power assist steering, that is a real bear to find parts for and not that great of a system in the end. Trucks were just a tool back then too and run into the ground so finding good used isn't easy either.

plenty of non-Chevy parts out there, even for older trucks
just not on every street corner,
or the 1st pages of mail order catalogs or www big box stores
like Chevy/GM, yep a lot easier
