Hi Everyone,

I am a recovering GM guy from the DFW area and have been bitten by the Mopar bug. I just sold my 65 Chevelle and I am currently on the hunt for a nice '69 Charger. I would like to get a solid survivor and do it up the way I want one. I have always bought my old cars mostly done, but this time around I would like to build a keeper exactly the way I like. I don't want to spend a whole lot of time and money doing bodywork, so I'm hoping I come across a good solid car that doesn't need much to get it right (I realize this isn't cheap lol).

Anyways, I look forward to learning from everyone here on the site!

Welcome, 65 Chevelle are the most tolerable gen. so no fault for owning one.
Going straight to a 69 Charger is definitely baptism by fire, all in, no b.s. Kudos to you and your wallet. This is the place to help you find one. Keep us posted and send pics

I saw in here not to long ago a guy was considering selling a 69 R/T. That looked like a pretty solid car. I don't think he was going to go below 19k on it tho.

:welcome: aboard!

Good choice on your first mopar, the best year of Charger!

Welcome. My brother has a 65 Malibu SS that he is slowly putting together again. A buddy of mine has 2 69 R/Ts One completely redone as a day Two restoration. The other a barn find that'll be restored sometime down the road. Good luck with the search.

Welcome neighbor. You may also want to check out the Mopar clubs in Dallas and Fort Worth

Happy hunting. Buyers market. Buy the right car. See it in person even if you have to get on an airplane. After living in Houston for a year, I would avoid car from anywhere with those kinds of floods. West Coast/Nevada/Arizona. There are always exceptions.

Welcome to FBBO from hot & dry, mostly rust free NorCal

good luck with your 69 Charger quest {68 is my fav.}
buy one as complete as possible, all the little stuff gets pricey
especially trim & grill etc.

they ain't cheap, as you've seen too

The light being tail lights of a 69 charger after wooping him in a race.

Welcome

Thank you everyone for the kind welcome, I can see this is a great place to hang out! I will definitely update when I find "the one". Usually I get overly excited and rush into things, but I have told myself to be patient this time around and wait for a good car to come along. If anyone has any leads I would sure appreciate you sending them my way.

Thanks again Gentlemen!

Post a thread in the wtb forum, and look in the 68-70 b-bodies and b-bodies for sale forums. This site is pretty easy to figure out and people will start a private company versatile with you if they can help. Good Luck
