Hello, Everyone! Don from SE MI here! I have just acquired a true "barn find". I now have a 1962 Fury Convertible, complete, that hasn't run since around 1970. Even though it's been a mid-west car it's whole life, it hasn't been on the road, so the rust monster has not completely devoured it. I'm just starting to collect some information (and look for parts), so it will be a while before it ends up back on the road where it belongs. I'm going to document getting the old girl running on Youtube. This is my first old car resurrection, so there will be much trial and error..

welcome, nice find you have there. Have fun with the resto it will be worth it.

welcome to FBBO nice find keep us posted on your progress

welcome to FBBO
I'll look forward to you posting more videos on here too

Welcome Don!

Nice ride! If I were you I'd find a garage to rent. Putting a tarp over it, outside will be really hard on it. Lots of condensation gets trapped under it.

Good luck

Nice find....welcome. :hello2:

About your fury

Great find. I got my 70 Belvedere the same way, about same condition. I am really happy for you that all is there and no major rust. Drag, Resto-Mod, Original or what will this be? They make really good Drag cars. Good idea to keep covered. I learned that most Insurance Companies want it inside a building of some kind. A car port will help because wind and weather will become an enemy over time and most car ports new start around $600 installed. Don't throw away anything unless you know it is not worth anything or rebuildable. Take lots of pictures if you plan on restoring because you may want to document builders marks and things like that. Good luck.

Welcome from maine! Great find! Great video too!
