Hello all, as the title suggests, I’m new here. I have a 1967 D-100 in my driveway I’m trying to get back on the road. 318 is freshly rebuilt with 340 heads and a Howard’s rattler cam. 727 is on the ground waiting for me to tear into it. I’m running into trouble finding steering parts, namely the drag link and manual steering box. I knew taking on a non-Chevy this old I was going to hit bumps eventually. I just didn’t think it would be wearable items such as steering components.

Anyway, glad to be here and I welcome any and all questions, critiques, cheers, words of advice or whatever.

Thank you, fellas.

Welcome. Our ads are free and in the Marketplace forums. Place an ad for a part and hold on. Lots of great people to help you out.

Welcome: I like these trucks. Be happy it doesn't have the factory power assist steering, that is a real bear to find parts for and not that great of a system in the end. Trucks were just a tool back then too and run into the ground so finding good used isn't easy either.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras
65-71 D-100 or W-100

plenty of non-Chevy parts out there, even for older trucks
just not on every street corner,
or the 1st pages of mail order catalogs or www big box stores
like Chevy/GM, yep a lot easier

maybe try another sister site to here, it's not as busy/active as here,
but still a good resource

or maybe Sweptline Truck Parts, specialize in different stuff
Decade Auto Parts > index.php

or 1961-71 Sweptline parts specialties

QA1 makes some great independent suspension parts for them trucks
among other parts

LMC Trucks may also make some of the parts needed too

Classic Industries has some too

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Nice truck with extra chrome package. Up here in rust-belt Ontario, these trucks were notorious rusters. I once had a 1966 lwb stepside as a drive-to-work and errand vehicle. The sound of the cab rusting away would keep me awake at night! LOL.
