Hi,first post,I've been lurking a while! Fixing up a 65 coronet 4 door. LA 318 in it now, getting a 383 in the spring. Car sat next to a friends motorcycle shop for 12 years,I finally looked at it long enough and took it home.

Welcome from neighboring WNY ! Hope to see you with the '65 at Carlisle soon !!!

Welcome from western NY! Love the new color! What are your plans for the rest of the project?

Welcome from Alabama, a 383 will provide a great power increase and you will be styling with your work on the hood.

I'd like to cut the hole in the hood now. Does anyone have a 65 big block single carb that would be willing to send me measurements of the carb center?

Welcome from Missouri!! 1965 Coronets are my favorite and red is the color to have. Like minds!!

Welcome from SE PA!

I agree with others - great color!
As far as hood measurements, best to do some searching for old threads - the information may already be out there. If not, post up a thread and I'm sure you'll get some responses.

Good Luck

Welcome from NY.
My brother has a 65 500. I'll check with him.

Welcome aboard from Ohio.

Welcome! Best case scenario is to cut the hole AFTER the engine is in its permanent spot. Otherwise it's all finger-crossing, good luck!

Welcome aboard from another '65 fan!! That was a very good year!
