After years of constant negotiations with the CFO (wife) we've come to agree on a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. She had wanted me to get a new Challenger but I had to go where the heart is and that's old school.I had been searching for about 6 months when my buddy suggested I buy his car so that he in turn could buy his dad's 68 Charger (#s matching 383 4-spd car...and mint as could be) so I made the deal for his Plymouth which is close to original with 59,850 miles on the clock when I got it a month ago.383 4-spd. air grabber with 18-spline A-833 and Dana 60 rear end as it was ordered from the factory by the original owner.
Long story short my wife has known this car for the 15 years my buddy had owned it...our teenage daughter will let me pick her up from high school because it's "over the top cool" and our 8 year old son asks for rides to and from school for pretty much the same reason. It's only taken 45 years to get to this point but man is it worth it.
