New member Restoring 69 Coronet 500

I probably wouldn’t do it. If You send it somewhere get a guaranteed completion date or you may never drive it again. If your planning a DIY restoration I hope you have a lot of time and motivation or you may end up in the same spot.
If it looks decent I recommend a roadstoration. Fix any know drivetrain issues, leaks, new brakes and lines, shocks, ball joints and bushings. Maybe new tires exhaust. Fix or replace interior. Then you can continue to enjoy driving it the entire time.
I appreciate the words of caution. I grew up in the auto body business. I was a painter for about 15 years before becoming a firefighter. I am pretty competent with most mechanical stuff. My concern is with welding in some needed panels. I have no confidence in my welding abilities. I have the usual gremlins like trunk and rear floor pan as well as drip channels on the bottom of the back glass. I believe I can do almost everything else except maybe the dash and gauges. I would love to see some pics of your 68.
