So I put the dash in hopefully for the last time yesterday and I noticed that there is a hole just off center that I have no idea what fastener goes there? I had all 6 of the nut plates installed and the proper screws for them but I have no idea about this one!

I’ll check some photos that I took of my 68 during restoration. It looks to be another bolt hole that missing the threaded clip.

Once you get the gasket in you don’t see it. It does make you wonder though. My car had never been taken apart in that area until I tore it down. So I’m going to say nothing goes there.

I wonder if it was used in production to hold the dash up to install it. Maybe they had a tool or some object to assist with the installation ‍♂️
