New to this forum. I had a 1972 Dodge Charger growing up and love that car and have been looking for another for years. Now 63, my son and I have continued the search but frankly have only found high priced, already restored cars, or rusted out rollers. Well recently we found a 1973 that has been off the road since 1988 and garage stored since 1990. And yes I bought it. The engine hadn't fun since 1990, but with a 5 gallon gas can and a rubber hose, it started right away. So the project has started. This is no a restoration, but a RestoMod. Going to tap this group for help as the project moves forward. Thanks for the add

Hopefully you and your son tackle that project TOGETHER!
Irreplaceable memories are sure to come of it.
Looks like a solid car to start with and good luck.
Post more pics if you got 'em!

We are doing this as a father/son project. He has a degree in Automotive Technology and a BA in Business Administration from Penn College, so he's got the technology handled. Only issue is he is fuel injection and I am carburetor LOL. It will be fun

Very early in the project Have located a 440 out of a Winnebago. Still deciding on the trans. Removing the bench seat setup and going to buckets with center console as that was the setup I had in my 72. Beyond the bare minimum, haven't decided on engine specs yet, until I get it torn down and to the machine shop.
