Just talked to a guy about a 65 Coronte 500. No drivetrain, but was 383 4v, 727,buckets, console. The 8 3/4 has a 3.55 suregrip in it. Great body,floorpans,minor pinholes in trunk. all glass except windshield good. Going to see it tomorrow. The best part is the price 1600 ! What do you think ? Will post pix after the sale is done. Very jacked about this one. Do I have to change my username now ? :grin:

Used to be the other way around. I was happy with a deal I cut for a 63postcar. Went to pick it up & guy changed his mind. Went back next weekend & his wife/girlfriend said a neighbor bought it for $100 more. Hell I wish he`d just stroked me for the xtra $. I`d of paid. Now I guess I sign in as 65Coronet500. Ha.:grin:

65 coronets are great either ht or post. The grill is one of the best of all the 62-65 b's in my opinion.

Is that the car was missing a lot more trim than I realized. I was sent pix, but it just did not register until my buddy was there looking at the car. He flat told me, "You can`t do that car. You will either go broke replacing trim or lose interest when you can`t afford or find the missing pieces." Sometimes the truth hurts a little, but that is accurate.:black_eye: Seller was cool about the whole thing. Got to appreciate that. Don.

Whooopeeeee !!!!!!!

Un-Believable.I thought my deal was dead, but saw a 2nd 65 Coronet 500 in the background of one of the pictures I received. I called my buddy, who inspected car for me, to see if he had noticed it. Yep, he had & thought it was a better car , but more $$$$$. Called guy up and Long/Short is I bought it, pending MY inspection this coming Saturday. Keyphrase there- MY inspection. Guy was fair on price, considering condition of car. I`ll send pix when I have car in my posession AND name.:grin:
