70 Clone Bee

Hi, Everyone.
I joined B Bodies Only because my son just bought a 1970 Coronet 2dr hdtp project. I hope to help him bring it back to life.
Pretty solid old car. Good rails and pans. Outer skin is a little iffy in places. Green, of course. It has a wrong 400 and right 727 in it. Sure-Grip but not sure of ratio yet. The trim tag is MIA which takes some of the fun out of it.
The plan is to focus on function and get it roadworthy first. We will make it new-ish and pretty later.
We are both die hard old car guys. Love them all but some way more than others.
My son lives 2 1/2 hours away and is a busy professional. I am blue collar but have a large shop and lots of tools.
Hoping and expecting that his dream car will draw him home to work on it on weekends. This empty nest thing takes some getting used to...
I live in SW KY. I would enjoy corresponding with other enthusiasts nearby or those who have a 70 Coronet or Superbee.
I always liked MoPaRs, just never owned one. When I was a punk kid I once passed up a running, driving '70 Superbee with a 440 for $750!
I have lots to learn.
Glad there's a group to help with that.
Thanks for the website.
