Hey everyone. I have just found out that my car, that I have had for about 6 years now, is actually a B body and not the C body I thought it was!!! It kinda makes sense why I found it hard to get parts for.

Anyways, I have a '64 dodge custom 880 2 door hard top. It came from just out of Portland and it is I think the only one in this country (Australia).
Been reading the Gen3 hemi swap threads and I think its time the old girl got an update. I just dont want to give up the push button auto.
I will be skulking around looking and not saying too much.

Cheers, Tim

Welcome. Post of pics when you can. We love seeing the cars.

Welcome to FBBO 'Mate', from NorCal

good luck with the 64 Project, happy Moparing

Welcome from Canada! unless things are really different over there ,a Dodge 880 is a c body only,
We never got them here. We only got phoenixes, as cool as they are.
Apparently, and I would expect to be corrected if I am wrong, the '65 was the only C body that was an 880. The 4 years before were B bodies. Anyone have any input on this?
I will try to post some pics of the rust bucket.

Hopefully this legitimizes my post. ;P

G'day Mate! Welcome aboard from Michigan and thanks for sharing the pics!

Lol, has to be a c-body. I always liked the slant/6 cars you guys had down there.

Dodge started the 880 in 62,because theythere was no full size dodges. They panicked because people where complaining and had to do something fast,so they took the front end and dash from a 61 dodge and put it on a chrysler whitch is a c body.In 63 and four the 880 stayed on that platform with there own body ,Polara stayed a b body till 65 when they became C bodys and monaco was introduced. they 880 became the same car as the polara 440 ond monaco. So yes, your car is a C body,a very cool one but a C body.

Thanks for that. I had the understanding that it was a C body (and I was accepted over at FCBO :)) until I was trying to sort out some steering upgrades for it when I was told it was actually a B body and he refereed me to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Custom_880
It kinda makes it hard to sort things out when no one really has all the correct info and I'm on the other side of the world.
cheers for the info.
