This came up on my YouTube timeline. No video, no link, just their article that I couldn't share so I did a screen shot with the info.

I saw that also. I have never emailed him, so if I get something it will more than likely be a scam.
 
Wow, what a bummer. I've talked with him over the phone; he is a great guy and a consummate professional to the end.
 
Maybe hes just advertizing? To be noticed.

The only ones to get email are his clients. Maybe his site got hacked.

Ask for money. Funny thing is he does ask for money in some of his videos. I forget what the service is called, like a crowd funding to support the channel.
 
It's most likely a Patreon plug.

I heard YouTube changed a lot of things awhile back and made it tougher for people to get paid by viewership. It coincided with the sudden onslaught of commercials that even interrupt shorter videos now.

Yeah, that was the one. I just watch his latest video and I must have been thrown a commercial every 3 minutes.
