Is one of them bigger or taller than the other? Do you have the retaining brackets and bolts? I also want to make sure these are original chrysler parts as opposed to the new ones that can be bought from year one...the new ones are slightly smaller.

yes one is longer I did not see that before part # 699015 is a 1/8in longer what does that mean!:eusa_wall:

The earlier years centers were shorter.

Are you sure about that carnut? I thought it was the other way around. Which do you think they used for 1975?

I guess you are probably right....the shorter one starts with a "2" which usually indicates late 60's and the other starting with a "3" is usually early 70's.

I think the shorter ones are a little fatter at the base as well.

Yes, part #2823843 is rare 2" long late 60's and part #3699015 was produced later and should be 2-3/16" long.

The part #699015 you have listed should have a "3" in front of it like #3699015. Oh it's really hard to find #2823843 in good shape that is why people settle for the longer one.

THANK you car nut for your help!!!I have no hardware

I believe ... as I recollect, 2823843 is the original from 66 on up and somwhere in the mid 70s Chrysler changed manufacturers and superseded the PN to 3699015.
Hense the difference in length.
Same as they did with the power window switches that look different after 1974.

Tbone, I will take #3699015 off your hands. I only need one and I'm guessing that this is the one that will match the others on my 75 fury.

Short one SOLD thanks!!!
