A buddy has a small used car lot on the other side of town. Being a bored retired-type, I roll over there once a month to catch up and see what gems he has on his lot that I can't live without. Yesterday, we're walking through his inventory, and he shows me a Sorrento, and I say "no KIAs or Hyundais!". Oh, but wait! This is a very clean '07 with a truly astounding 343,000 miles on it! With the original engine and trans! What??? I've never heard of one last more than 130K or so. Guy drove it daily approximately 225 miles round-trip to his job. Nice tires, no smoke or usual KIA engine rattles...a real unicorn! That'll make a good, disposable driver for someone, I'm sure. $2K buys it.

And, of course, he's got a neat car in his shop, as always. This time, it's a '56 BelAir 4-door hardtop, dark red and white. Nice street build. A 350 auto, with pdb, ps and air. For sale next month, after he gets the interior done. Should be nice!

I'll keep with what I have, even though the '56 is really tempting!
