Offset air cleaners

I'm about ready to cut my hood for the aircleaner and I'm wanting to move the aircleaner more to the left of the hood to stay out of hood bracing as much as possible. So here's a couple questions. If it's not a drop base it should be clockable in any direction correct? Also, are there any drawbacks to these such as them pivoting or loosening since weight has been moved out from center of carb? Thanks

I have one on my 72 satellite. There is no problem with any of that. I used it to center it in the hood for the scoop. Hope this helps
