Ol' Man Winter Is Finally Here. ...

Winter isn't for wimps !! All of us in the snow belt..........WE EMBRACE IT !! I'm Happy right where I'm At!! I HOPE I speak for my Snow Belt Brothers throughout!! LOL

50 vehicle pileup on I-90 heading to Buffalo on Thursday; awesome road in winter!!!Been there, done that.Right along Lake Erie.
I grew up in North East, PA right on the NY border, next to Lake Erie. I-90 crossed a bridge about 1/8th of a mile past our house. In the winter it was not unusual to wake up and find a 18 wheeler hanging off of the bridge railing upside down. Cool stuff when yer a kid. The cab about 2 feet from the pavement.

My lab loves it too. I couldn't imagine Christmas without the white stuff

I know....Hard to believe prefer being heartier, live longer, have seasonal sports....and avoid annual droughts, wildfires, monsoons, mudslides, earthquakes, radio-active beaches and ocean, invading hordes from other 3rd-world countries[Kally being one, itself], having to learn multiple languages to have a normal day, taking longer to drive to work...then if you walked, crazy multi-cultural gangs/thugs preying upon anybody who crosses into their "hood", allowing curtailing of your constitutional rights, insane politicians, vehicle inspections/emissions laws, sub-par vehicle fuel, paying insane prices for everything[except produce], taxes up the ***, etc.

Yup, hard to believe. I think I'll go out to my heated/carpeted shop, later today....after we shoot our machine-guns this morning. LOL

I've got to say, I DONT MISS THE SNOW! I've been talking to the guys in Illinois and Wisconsin, they've been moving the crap already. I always did my 3 drives and helped my neighbors. DONT MISS IT AT ALL!! Yesterday was 72. Driving the car to breakfast this morning. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT!

Wouldn't you know it, the week I get back working on my car it drops into the 30s for several days here in New Orleans. It was 80 friggin degrees last week! Oh well, it is supposed to be back in the mid 70s today or tomorrow.

My grandparents moved to Mesa 20 years ago. They don't miss the cold a bit.

I can't imagine living without winter, sure it has its downfalls. -30 below Temps being one of them, but it's the purest most serene of the seasons and I enjoy it. Wouldn't want to have it more than 1/4 of the year.

Also winter is when I take a week or two vacation. Mexico is lovely this time of year

Sounds like you have been to San Jose. I take the Train to work though. No commute unless exercising the 69.

Well if you were just a little farther south Sonny.......Thunder would bring the big Ram Diesel over for some worry free Plowing. You moved to the wrong side of town! Sorry...TL

I'll bet drivers were in a panic. Did the oil-slick run into the storm drains?
Yes, where the hell is the wiper switch? The greenies were out damming up the drains.

Linda is back East visiting the "kids. Says it's in the 20's. She can have it. And the kids. Suffering here at a car show in the high 50's.
