Opinions on TCI Streetfighter 727 auto/forward manual trans vs rebuild (late 70's trans)

What did I tell you in post #5
So much for giving people the BOTD. I didn't even get a chance to ask the 2nd question he pissed me off that quick. I mean just some surprisingly immature ****. I asked if he had a tip on getting the rear shaft bearing off as mine is not simply slipping off whatsoever. I've tapped it with a rubber mallet a few times but, wanted to talk to someone more familiar with them before I start to just beat on it. I didn't even get to finish the question and tell him where I was at and what I've done thus far and the dude literally starts mocking me like a ******* 5 year old mid sentence. So I proceeded to tell him how all the guys over at FBBO and on the internet are correct in saying what an asshole this tub is and that was pretty much that. Unreal! Love to run into a guy like that at a bar.....

I bought a TCI in 2007 sold car 3 years later. A 340 pushing around 450hp, reverse manual, 0 issues, but that was almost 20 years ago, alot has changed since then.

Sorry you had a bad experience with John. Can't Imagine what was going on? I've dealt with him a couple of times and never had
a problem. I can't imagine a person that has a business like his to be harsh with customers.

So you made this statement with no personal experience?
Personally, I'll admit other than some seals, no. I do have friends and family that have used his stuff years ago from complete units to just parts I've helped put together and never had issues. Others were used throughout the years but that was mostly what I saw. CRT stickers all over. Idk what you're fishin for or why that matters now but the issue was the attitude, not the parts.

A standard BB core, rebuild kit and shift kit are all you really need. When I started building transmissions had no special tools. You can build one with the parts mentioned for about $350.
