Looking for opinions here. I have a 69 Super Bee clone. 451 stroker, automatic, 3.91 SG. The car was originally a T7 Coronet 440, 318 car. In over 30 years of building and restoring Mopars, I never had much interest in originality, and my focus was always more on performance. The car is a factory A/C car, but literally everything forward of the firewall is missing. I’m finding it difficult to justify spending hundreds of dollars on piecing together almost 60 year old lines, condenser, etc. The heater core in the A/C box is bad, and I’m debating on removing the A/C altogether and converting the firewall to “heat only” when I pull the car apart and restore it. I have decades of experience in panel replacement, as well as body/paint, and figured if down the road I ever wanted A/C, I would go with a Vintage/Classic AC unit. What is everyone’s opinion of this? I always hated the clutter of a big V2 compressor and all of the lines and condenser.

And yes, I am aware I would have to change the center dash pad.

I'm puzzled. Car looks good the way it is. Anyway, it's not original... you don't want AC ? ... I'd just scrap the remaining AC parts, that's it.
The car is ok. The paint is tired, and I’m going to shoot it Y2 when I go through it. Granted I live in Phoenix, but A/C or not, the car doesn’t really get any use in the summer time.

Just my 2 cents: I would keep the factory air Firewall and dash pad parts if in good condition. You can get an aftermarket setup to get a modern compressor and all new under hood parts. I would save the original factory AC parts should you ever want to restore these.

Nice name change, never got the money but I did get the negative feedback with your fabricated story about how “I told him the $100 he paid me was for the labor of pulling my car apart”

Show everyone the screen shots then Joe. I’ve got all of mine.

Back again? Listen rube, you changed your tune. You want to talk screenshots of PMs? First you stated you would cover shipping both ways to “sweeten the deal”. Then you stated you have a shipping account. You proceeded to offer me $100 plus your stock leaking box for my stage 3 firm feel box. As I stated in my feedback, once I received the $100 from you, I began pulling my box; lifting the motor, removing the header and starter, etc. Once you decided to be a clown and change your mind and say the deal should be straight across, and that the $100 you sent me SHOULD THEN cover shipping my box back to you, I advised you since I pulled my car apart based on a deal we made, a deal you backed out of, the $100 would cover the header gaskets and time I spent disassembling my car FOR YOU. Why didn’t you include the screenshots of your initial messages to me in your post? Don’t paint me as the bad guy. I’ve been in the Mopar scene for well over 30 years, have a high reputation locally, as well as online selling parts (Moparts.com), Facebook, etc.

Like these? Where I hit you up about trading the box and I would cover shipping. Then you found a box locally and backed out of the deal. The OVER A WEEK late you hit me up with a sob story about the guy ghosting you and then you wanted to trade. That was a new deal, you never mentioned me covering shipping AND $100. It was a miscommunication that you agreed with, then you repeatedly told me you would send me the money back and never did. You are dishonest.

Also notice how he constantly try’s to talk **** about my “leaky stock box” when I stated at the beginning it doesn’t leak. Which I also went through the trouble of removing and boxing for shipment.

This is also conveniently taken out of context.

This was about me buying the box, not trading. My offer of sending you a shipping label was to go with the original offer of a trade or an outright purchase.

No sob story here goofball. Speaking of sob stories, include the one about you whining about Santa Claus coming and that you’re hard up, and honestly SHOULDNT BE MAKING DEALS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Furthermore, ARE YOU STUPID? You literally told me you would cover shipping both ways, and you OFFERED me a measly $100 on top of your leaking sloppy stock box. You don’t remember sending those messages? You really think I’m going to make a deal with someone (stupid as they may be), pull my car apart, buy gaskets, clean parts, then reassemble when the jagoff backs out, and not feel I’m entitled to the $100 to cover my trouble after you WELSHED on your end of the deal? Get lost rube. You’re not painting a very good picture of yourself. I’ve sold THOUSANDS of dollars in parts to people online, and oddly enough, you’re the clown to come on here whining over a measly $100 when YOURE the one that changed his tune and backed out. I hope I find a stock box locally so I can throw this firm feel in the garbage. I’ll be sure to send you a picture of it in the can on garbage day before the can is dumped. The box means nothing to me. Someone’s word does.
