Does anyone make a "street weight" glass six pack hood for 71-74 Chargers? I would want to use my factory hinges (obviously with weaker springs) and my stock hood latch, I dont want hood pins.

OR, am I better off with adding a scoop to a plain hood? I'm not that big on bonding panels but I know most car manufacturers use that technique so I guess it's proven. In that case, who makes a good add-on scoop?

Thanks in advance

The US body $429 hood is a race hood, not a bolt on, but they do also have a street hood and will add a scoop. Has anyone tried their hoods? Good quality?

I think VFN might be able to supply one as well, and their scoop looks closer to factory

These days with the 2 part bonding adhesives we have I wouldn't be afraid to glue a scoop on a steel hood. 2 things I've learned about fiberglass is that it will continue to shrink for a long time and it just isn't as stable a substrate as steel. You can find a steel flat hood for next to nothing and with proper prep and procedures it will be done in about as much hassle as it will be to block out the fiberglass 1. I do like the look of the bolt on bulge hood though, Too bad the hood blanket wouldn't cover all that ugly matting on the bottom.
