Just want to double check that I have the correct paint code according to the MM and my Chrysler Option Code Book.
Car is a 1969 Coronet 500 convertible.
Y4 is Spanish Gold Metallic (C=Classic Gold), I assume the "C" means Chrysler?
Chrysler code is AY2EY4 according to my option book and also the MM( which just calls it Gold Metallic), which crosses over to Ditzler 2034. Paint jobber said that his computer didn't like the Ditzler code but the Chrysler code crossed to Classic Gold.
I had them stop by with the camera and took a sample but since the car was/is painted a hideous orange, there wasn't a big enough area that was smooth enough to get a good shot so the camera didn't work well. Stopping tomorrow to get a sample to spray and want to make sure that I'm on the correct path since I think he's going to mix the Classic Gold and I'll see how that compares to the car.
Sorry so long-winded.
Thanks

Y 4. My '69 Road Runner came out with Y 4 code and dark green interior. BUT, it's vitamin C orange now. Paint has changed over the years, try the spray out and see how close it is.
