Does anyone know if back in 69 they painted the battey trays the same color as the car, or where they black?

my 70 was black and i repainted it black......cant answer your question for sure 100% for 69

I believe in '69 & '70 they were painted body color, but I am not an expert so it is strictly my opinion.

They were painted body color

I thought they were all body color.

Body color.... but I've been cheating... I've been grabbing some spray "Plastidip" and putting it on the inner tray portion to protect it from acid leaks. It's cheaper than the cans that never seal back up and you never get to use it all.

The battery tray on 68-70 B-bodys were painted after being mounted on the apron/core support, the same color as the car. When removing most original battery trays you will find a unpainted area where the parts mated.
