Would you use a gasket between the girdle and pan? Or just a bead of Right stuff? ( Yes I know you need a light coat of sealer between the girdle and block)

I think you are tightening to much for a gasket. Go with The Right Stuff.

Sorry, I read that backwards. A gasket is ok there. I think you can get instructions from 440 Source. It's always good to have instructions.

He said gridle. I like hotcakes on the gridle.

I wouldn't use a gasket on either side of a girdle unless the girdle is one of the thick ones that is counterbored for hold down nuts for the girdle itself, and then the pan goes on with it's own nuts. The object is to have the girdle tight to the pan rail, and that can't be done with a gasket in there.
