Hi, new to the forum and need the knowledge from those in the know about Mopar's. I have a barn find 1967 coronet R/T w/440, 727. Just bought it and it would only roll backward, not forward. 8 3/4 3:23 Axle was removed discovered it had been run on bad bearings so long the race's were chewed up beyond repair. I have a 1967 satellite convertible parts car (318/727) and looks like an 8 3/4 axle also but with 2:73 gearing. Will the suregrip from the Coronet fit in the satellite housing?

Yes, it will fit. BUT…. you will have to change the U-joint flange as the 318 cars used a smaller u-joint than the big block cars.

It was usually that way but I've found them with the big yoke flange too.

ISTEP, welcome to the site! Go ahead and post your question in the 66-70 Mopars section and you will get more responses in that forum than you will in the Welcome Wagon.

If you put the sure grip drop out from the toasted RT housing into the good 318 housing and then install it as a complete rear end in your RT you dont have to worry about u joints broski.

it will use the same ones it did as its still gonna have the same yoke........

Just swap punkins like he said, slide in the "good" axles and away you go.
