Well, It's time for me to refill my parts washer. I usually use a petroleum Naptha solvent but I can't find the brand that I've used for years. So I'm looking for alternatives. What do you use? Do you like it? Does it cut through grease and grime with ease? I'm looking for the strongest solvent I can find.
Thanks for any information

I use Safety Kleen solvent and service. Got a new batch last year. Cost $600.00 but the last batch lasted 14 years. My tank holds 35 gallons.

I use this from Tractor Supply. Works pretty good and the last I got here it was in a square plastic 5 gal container.

I use Orange citrus from HD. I use mine alot and have to change it twice a year. Works well in my HF washer I made heated. Easy to get rid of also since it is water based.

I use flash solvent 142. It has a higher flash point that mineral spirits. I have had this same solvent in my parts washing tank for over 30 years, never changed it. Still works as good as new. It is dirty. I just scrape the thick goop off of the bottom once in a while. To get the dirty residue off of the parts once all the heavy grease and dirt is removed I just give them a final spray with some brake cleaner.

I've been thinking about trying some kind of water based solvent just as you said because it is easily disposable. I can get rid of the TS stuff at the local recycle center for now but I think this will probably go away in the near future. Any tips on how you heated it?
