some chargers had them, did any road runners?

my tag codes for dual chrome sport mirrors.

where would I look on the dash to see if the passenger was also a remote mirror?

any pics?

thank you.

Hmm. I was wondering if the ones I have were factory.

They look just like early 70's B body mirrors, but the mounting is different, and won't fit in the 74 Charger holes. It looks like they were mounted on dished holes, if thay makes any sense.

I believe if I can get the mounting down, theywill be right at home and noone will know the difference, except that the pass site is also remote.

I think they may have been from a 75 and up Charger/Cordoba/Magnum.

well, i picked up this for 25 bucks.
when I get a chance I will see how close it is to my factory drivers side mirror.

if it looks anywhere close, I will figure out how to mount, run the cable, and install the bezel, even if it is a non stock set up.

i put a passenger mirror on my 69 gto.

it is a pain in the butt to get usable.

you have to adjust not in driving position. then check in driving position.

when you finally get it right,
it is non hooded, and will get knocked out of whack.

you have to hop around more than a one legged man at an *** kicking contest to keep it usable.

maybe a different story with these hooded passenger mirrors, but I will try the remote anyways.

usually the passenger mirror control was located down by where the ashtray is,if i remember the way mine was on a RR i had years ago.

I had a 73 Satellite Sebring I parted out and it had a remote mirror on the pass side, the control knob was in the upper door panel.....My 74 Satellite didn't have a pass side remote mirror but it has a knock out in almost the exact same location as the Sebring's on the upper door panel near the dash but it was never punched out. Check the inside of your door panel to see if you have an un punched knock out.

Sure are some long-assed cables for a door panel installation. As far as the mirror itself, mine [both sides] are mounted with phillips screws that go all the way thru the mirror, and into nuts welded to a retainer plate that is secured to the door itself by 2 more screws. The door will actually have 4 holes in it. I dont think the studs that you have are correct. Did you notice that?

I did not notice the mounting difference until after getting it.

The cable is long because it is supposed to go under the dash and mount where the driver can adjust it. I thought some Chargers were available with that and thought maybe RR's too.

I am now thinking it was another application. Got to get my other mirror out and compare and see how similar or not it is.

Maybe its a cordoba mirror or something.

The mirror body itself looks right. Just the pedestal is different. If its not right for you, maybe you can find someone to trade with. Btw, did you still need pics for the sunroof drain locations?

I sure do need pics 74Birds.

It would help quite a bit knowing exactly where to put them.

Thank you.

That's the same one I have. Drilled holes in proper places, and still don't mount right.

I think the correct application had a hemispherical depression stamped in the door at each stud location.

I think I still have the pass remote mirror off of the Sebring...Want to see some pic's?

I don't have any pics but what I did on my 72 charger was take the right mirror from a Aspen RT that looks just about like yours and used the guts in my 72 mirror. I took the head off and drilled a hole in the bottom of it by referencing my left remote mirror and ran the cables through it and made a" factory" remote mirror. It actually worked pretty slick. The hardest part was getting the glass out of the mirror. You can't get to the screw with the glass in it! I just broke the glass out and put a new mirror in it. The factory mounting hole for the Aspen was under the dash but it was a plain unchrome stem. I would say yours is for a door panel application and remenber the cordoba had a big door so by the time you route it around stuff , it needs to be long! It looks like you could just swap the heads but they are different. I think if factory engineers had made right remote mirrors they would have put the knob under the left side where the rear defog and other acc. were. Especially on a rallye dash!
