Anyone bought this? How well does it work?
When you talk about an A-833 with a 4th gear OD that's different than PassonsThought they had a modified 833 with a 5th gear OD.....?
I have the "clean sheet" Passon 855 5 speed. Passon had been modding the gearset in the 833 for years, which uses the factory transmission housing, etc.Thought they had a modified 833 with a 5th gear OD.....?
Still not happy with what happened then ?Passon doesn't make, modify, create, or engineer anything. He did not create or engineer the A855, not at all, not even a little, by his own admission to me on multiple occasions, on the phone and in person, and corroborated by GFI multiple times on the phone and in person.
He is the front for GFI's and Huff's crappy business decisions and garbage parts and transmissions.
If you were lucky enough to get a 'good' trans, good for you, I hope you never have any issues, and you'll probably be trouble free.
Whether GFI built a good trans, consistently, in the past is debatable, however they definitely do not anymore, beginning at a minimum in 2018.
Cheap parts, poor machining, dishonest and arguably criminal business practices.
Works very well...Anyone bought this? How well does it work?
If you mean his 833 with 4th as overdrive then yes it works well.
Back in 2007 we built this 'Cuda with one behind a 451 B engine and 3.73 gears.
Did a long haul Hot Rod Power with the car and put 5,000 miles on it.
Car got 20 mpg cruzing at 65 mph.No power steering or brakes,no A/C. Car is still running around to this day.View attachment 1303209
